Hi, Mario: My Hornet is almost finished!! A touch of paint and few more decals, and it'll be finished. I tried making the "remove before flight" ribbons this time, but it doesn't look as good as I hoped. But I didn't lose any pieces this time, like last time.
About your 655, I don't know about the paintings yet, but I'll try asking. I'll write in this Board if I get any info.
Thanks, phoenix

Hi phoenix, How's your Hornet kit progressing? I've put together 1/72 F-104J JASDF (Hasegawa, great kit) and moving on the painting. What keeps puzzling me is the lack of information on JASDF colors, well at least here in US. I'm working on "655" with sharkmouth and will have to paint according to instructions even if couple of pics I found suggest slightly different shades. Don't you know any JASDF kit builders who could help? All best Mario > Hi Mario, > The Hornet I'm making now seems to be going along better than the T-4. Hello, Kazuo: Thank you very much for taking the time to inquire for me. I will have to make the decals myself with an alps printer, don't know what I will do about the figures. Cheers, Andrew B

Hi all,
What a delight to discover this AMAZING site !
I LOVE the Eagle and the JASDF knows how to color them....
Great Job and keep on posting F-15 DJ in agressor scheme the greatest aicraft around the globe....
I was looking for pix for years since I bought the Hasegawa kit with special edition decals. Today I'm the happiest guy around !
I asked some of my friends, but unfortunately I can not find figures and decals in 1/32 scale. The shop "Base Operation" released Senkyo-Decals as 1/32 1 or 2 years ago, but it is not available now.
Mr.Saito answered your question. Fakers in '84-Senkyo are following.
202sq: 830, 841
203sq: 835
Thanks, Kazuo.

Konnichi-wa Kazuo-san! Yes, I'll send you scans as soon as possible. Since this is for personal use only there is no copyright violation at all. And that link is extremely helpful! Domo arigato gozaimasu! Mario
Thanks, now I understand it is possibly as a "Faker" in 84 Senkyo. I will ask it in Japanese message board. Also I will convey your words to Mr.Komatsu. :-)
I'm sorry but I'm afraid that uploading photos on book is violates to anti-piracy. I will check the book, so...
Thanks, Kazuo.

Konnichi-wa Mario-san!
If possible, could you please send me a scan of the color description writtern in Japanese? I think partially scan does not violate to anti-piracy. :-)
たぐちさん, hello. Yes, you're right! There was no F-15J Section as such in 1984.
However, looking the schedule (in Green Arrow's book 79-00 JASDF Senkyo Special Markings), it seems that both the 202 and the 203 Sqs acted as "escort fighters" (indeed, in the Senkyo story section it says "フェイカー機として参加" refering to the F-15J units, I believe).
Then, I have found two pictures, both dated November 1984 (the month the Senkyo was held). The place seems to be Komatsu AB (I'm not sure). One shows 830. The other shows a 3Sq F-1 with the large sharkmouth worn by the unit that year.
That's why I thought 830 could be one of those "escort" machines and asked for yor help.
If you're interested, I can put its picture on your picture-bbs, or send to you via mail.
Thanks Javi
(Please, convey Mr.Komatsu my congratulations for his great faker pictures. They are just BEAUTIFUL!!!!)

Konnichi-wa Kazuo-san and all JASDF fans! In the subject book there are some very interesting camos of F-104J Eiko (I know there are F-15s too but need Eiko this time). Certain schemes are in black&white calling out actual colors applied. As I cann't read japanese is there anybody out there who has the book and can help me translate names of these colors? Domo arigato gozaimasu! Mario
Nooo problem! But... In my understanding, any F-15J/DJ did not participated to '84 Senkyo. Did you see any photo of 830 in '84 Senkyo? I'm very interesting...
たぐちさん, hello. Could you please help me? Do you know, or could ask, the 202/203 Sq participating machines in the '84戦競? I believe 830 was one of them, but I'm not sure. Thank you so much. Javi

Hi Mario, The Hornet I'm making now seems to be going along better than the T-4. I'm painting better and so far I'm not losing any pieces or decals. I'm going to build a few more kits other than the F-15, so I can practice on metalic paint and stuff. And when I get better at that, I'm planning on making about 5 F-15s, and 3 of them are special paintings. But the special paintings kits are expensive, I can't stock them before they might go out of sale. About 2500yen, 25 or 26 dollars. I don't get much money so it's hard on me.
And I also do want to ride the F-15 at least. Even if I couldn't go through the training, I want a ride, while I've my 5 senses working properly.
